My visit to Adelaide, South Australia

Adelaide is the capital city in the state of South Australia and it is the 5th largest city in Australia with a population of slightly over one million. Adelaide is also known as the Wine Capital of Australia.

It’s a beautiful city filled with historical architecture. During my visit I went to Cleland Wildlife Park, one of the best places to hand feed kangaroos. The park is filled with a great diversity of wildlife.

And another interesting place to visit is the Hahndorf, a small town about 30 minutes’ drive from Adelaide. German influence is very visible in this town with their traditional architecture.

You can also visit the world famous vineyards such as the Barossa Valley and Coonawarra (reds) and the Clare Valley (Rieslings).

Australia’s 3rd largest island after Tasmania and Melville, The Kangaroo Island is just 112kms southwest of Adelaide.

I highly recommend Adelaide as a must visit destination in Australia.
